single dad, from the south wales valleys, been writing for 6 years.self published 3 books to date, mainly valley type welsh humour, based on my life and whats happening around me,although when challenged with any subject material,it seems to come relatively easy and natural to compile a poem.poetry is my form of release, wether anger, sadness, laughter,or frustration.i get such a buzz when i make people laugh, cry or even if it’s just to make a point of something.

way down in abercwmscwt, where taffy's shovel coal, a taffy shoved a shovel, up another taffy's hole. idwal called the doctor, but he could'nt come, so taffy had to walk home, with a shovel up his bum. his mother gave him tablets, to ease the agony, and taffy had to stand up, when he ate his tea.

howling black waves pounded the doomed, welshmen of steel, travesty loomed. spearhead poundings, relentless attacker, wrong end of mountain,.. rourkes drift, south africa. brave welshmen stood fast, melodic in stance, battered by waves.. of zulu advance. singing in tunic, valley men bred, black waves of heat, in rivers of red. respectful zulu, not mindless marauder, held assegai high and saluted....the south wales borderer.

rythem an beat needs improvement, and the ending does'nt rhyme.but the thought and sentiment is lovely.
material is good, but the overall limerick could be improved if the beats, syllables and rythem were fine tuned .but so could my work,so who am i to critisise.
