Ryan is an accomplished poet, in over 10 years he’s performed all over New England, as well as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. Published in many magazines and online publications, Ryan’s poetry encompasses many styles from children’s poetry to sonnets and adult free verse. A self proclaimed Modern American Haiku Master, Ryan accomplished the daunting task of 1000 haiku in 100 days, which one day will be published if he can ever finish transcribing it.
He considers himself a word warrior, explaining that as a poet it’s his duty to see that no word should be taboo or have the power to hurt like some words can. He believes that no one word should be more important that any other and censorship especially to the artist only…

"The Internet is an information age tool that empowers individuals and reduces the need for a large, authoritarian government. It empowers the poor with an unregulated world of entrepreneurial opportunity...Information and the new frontier could create a more fair, peaceful society The free flow of information is central to America's foundation, and '90s technology only enhances it. Poetry / My Hero

As a kid, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer wasn’t a doctor or lawyer, cowboy or cop. I wanted to be Gunther Gebel Williams. Gunther was a bronze, chiseled, larger than life man with perfectly coiffed hair so white, it matched his gleaming smile. He was known as the world’s greatest animal trainer, he specialized in the big cats and he was my hero. I loved the circus. It truly was the “Greatest Show on Earth” Upon entering the Boston Garden when the circus was in town, ...

The idea for doing a story on the 93 closing seemed trivial to me and if it wasn’t for the fact that I was under the influence of hallucinogens I probably wouldn’t have done it. The concept was simple. Just sneak our way over the highway to get a shot of the construction. (This was all cooked up by our fearless photographer.) We pulled over near where they were doing the work and thought about sneaking down to get the shot we needed. We strolled over to the bridge that overlooked the shutdow...

“Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it” (Tori Amos). On January 19th, 2007, 16 year old John Odgren followed James Alenson into one of the upper bathrooms of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. As James turned around to find out who this stranger was and what he wanted, John stabbed James with a large butcher knife three times, once in the neck, once in the chest and once in the stomach. The force was so strong the knife went straight th...

Humor/Satire / My Thankgiving
That was very funny! You hit the nail right on the head with that one. I feel the exact same way, glad to see that there's someone else other there that sees this stupid holiday for what it really is, thanks for that. Next year, that's exactly how I'll spend my thanksgiving. I can't wait.
This was amazing! It reminded me of Rush meets Yes meets ELP meets DIO. It was like a Burroughs piece too with a little Hunter S. Thompson thrown in for good measure. Very surrealist and way beyond your average imagination. It really blew me away! Such great imagery and it was completely fascinating. I can't say anything else, there's nothing bad about your writing. Fantastic!
Haiku/Senryu / Whispered Winds
I liked it but the title should be different you shouldnt repeat the words either compliment, contrast, or answer your piece with your title or else leave it without.
Sci Fi & Fantasy / Fool's Gambit - Chapter Five
well done I loved the way you discribed things, I felt like I was right there. I should go back to read the other chapters but this one almost reads by itself. Great storytelling.
Haiku/Senryu / cheap with the creds
though not a syllabic haiku this does conform to the less popular non-syllabic form that Kerouac was so fond of which drives me bonkers. I like the subject though and I got 20 creds for it too! HA!
