Poetry / The monster across the hall
He waits and he watches until I’m all alone.
Why do you do it is what I want to know,
Why do hate me..what did I do?
I hate what its made me but still love you the same,
Alone you’re a beast but in public your tame.
I hate myself but should I instead hate you?
Would that make you happy or is my end coming soon.
I told another and wish I had not,
I don’t want you to be in trouble, don’t want you to get caught.
Do you know that I still love you?
Is that what you want..
What am I to you?
A sister or a runt.
Should I show you the marks from what you’ve made me do,
Or should I preserve your ignorance of the filthy, rancid truth.
I’ll leave you my love but it is left for he whom I once knew,
not he who now occupies my old room.

This is so sad. I feel so sorry for the persona! Got to get some grammar edited, like Alone you’re a beast but in public your tame, should be in public you’re tame. Overall it’s not a bad poem, and the last four lines wrap up everything.
