She walks over to the black sweater torn up on the ground. There’s blood on it, and as she squeezes its shattered remains, red blood oozes out of it, soaking her fingers in blood, dripping onto her orange Converse sneakers, and soaking into the ground.
There are footprints all over the ground, showing a struggle between a man and…something else. Claw marks are etched into the earth, too small to be from a wolf or dog, but something else. As she bends to the ground and puts her fingers to the marks, she realizes what it was.
She jumps up, frightened and starts running. She doesn’t get five steps before she feels a small impact on her back as claws dig through her black shirt and into her skin. She falls to the ground, defeated as the killer squirrels grabs her feet and drags her away to a large, hollow tree nearby. More squirrels are crowded around the opening. When she sees them, she starts to scream and tries to wrestle herself out with what little strength she has left. more come from inside the tree and tries to stop her from struggling and screaming, even as they lead her into the tree where other people are trapped, just like her. Taken by the killer squirrels in the dead of the night.
