Poetry / What to do alone on Christmas

Perhaps I could sing some cheerful caroling to my cat
Or I could decorate an imagery tree with tinsels and shinny things
Maybe make a wreath to fill the air with some holiday scent

Would it be too silly to bake a plateful of sugar cookies for one
Should I drink a gallon of mulled cider spiked with cinnamon
How’s about wrap and unwrap a gift for myself and act surprised

I opened a can of tuna for my cat I don’t think she knows it’s Christmas
I think I will drink too much wine and fall asleep with the TV on
