Resentment rippled still. Michael’s rage gained a fine focus, while Gabriel watched, intent and ready. The talk continued, hushed murmurs in passing, a quick, questioning slice of the eyes in order to learn, subtly, the allegiance of another. Huddles and tightly knit groups gathered together to best gather information and discuss the wisdom in kernels of knowledge. A beach, lipped by the solemn, timeless drift of capped waves, became the counterpoint to some of the most volatile discussions.
Damp hair that gleamed like pearl was flicked out of turbulent blue eyes as the first figure took stock of his companion. “Behemoth.”
Metal whined through the air and caught in a piece of flotsam, breaking it in two.
“Behemoth.”
The chunks of wood were tossed into a slowly increasing pile.
Sighing, he dropped the stick he’d used to draw in the sand and approached his companion before the other could raise his crude sword again. Resting a hand on his shoulder, he demanded his attention. Tension sang beneath his grip, taut as a bowstring, before the other finally relaxed little by little.
Using the corded line of his wrist, Behemoth pushed back a dampened and dusty fall of inky black hair and turned grass green eyes to his fellow. The line of his mouth was twisted in frustration. “It doesn’t add up, Leviathon. None of it.”
His grip tightened on his fellows shoulder. “Yes, it does. It adds up to war.”
Behemoth flinched and pulled away, twisting out from Leviathon’s grip. His grasp loosened on his sword and it fell to the sand with a dull tang.

I don’t know what any of this is about. But I do know that you make me want to read more. You use the sort of detailed description in your work that makes one actually feel as though he is there, seeing the scene unfold with his own eyes.
