Seeing the light is usually associated with a life-changing epiphany. I like the suggestion that the speaker hopes this change would confirm his/her belief in God.
The sad part of this is that the speaker acknowledges that he/she hasn’t seen this light yet. And I think that’s what I like most about this statement.

i do not understand what light you are refering to, is it the light that one allegedly sees when one dies?
Um, well. I guess this is just a quote dealing with faith, and looking forward to living in Heaven when you die. I’m not overly religious, but I think poetry, prose, whatever relating to religion is often the prettiest.
Please read some of Einstein’s works. Also, you might consider studying some Theoretical Physics. It will help you widen your scope.
good job. i like it
and not from the oncoming traffic. :) Nice thought, just needs a touch more.
I think I agree with you, however this sounds commonplace. Also if this is a direct quote, it should have “quotation marks.”
I took this in two ways, the comical and the serious.
When I first read it I thought of Bruce Almighty when he got hit by a bus.
Then as I read it again, I thought of how we don’t yet know what that light at the end of the tunnel is. We have what we believe and nothing more. What if hell is so bright we have to squint all of the time?
light came from dark, that’s all i know
