Running and stumbling
Arms flailing in the mist
Anxious breath escapes

Falling on concrete
frantically crawling up stairs
bloodied and beaten

Yanked back by the hair
Gloved hand grips my face, bruising
Thrown down to cement

In anger and spit
“This the last time you’ll leave”

I actually meant “spit”. As in the visual of someone so angry that when they are speaking they are spitting in your face… thank you for the highest mark, I’m elated.
