Art, dear Box Man, is subjective to the individual. By breaking down the definitions, art is something that the viewer finds beautiful. On the contrary: I find your perspective ugly.

Oh, ignore that shit about being sentient. He/she has no idea of what they are talking about. Nothing inanimate is sentient -only through thoughts do they come alive. Your art/flash fiction is a composition of thoughts -therefore it is sentient in the same way any other form of inanimate entity can be.  

The wind has the same liberty as we have to follow our instincts.

Pick a side and stick to it. “Nothing inanimate (alive) is sentient” then you go and say art and flash fiction is sentient! Which is it? Inanimate things sentient or not?  Oh, through thoughts, something else had, things become sentient! I see, the stop sign is sentient! Yeild? Sentient! Hard Tacos $.99? Sentient! “Fk!” spray painted on the side of a box car? Sentient! (oops composition of thoughts, plural, ok it would need to be “Fk this!” sorry)
As for fiction84’s perspective being ugly I can’t agree. I do not find it ugly, just less effective than it could have been in gaining support for his point of view.
Also wind is not free. It is imprisoned by the perspective of the perciever. It is imprisoned by another’s perspective because wind does not actually exist but for the perception of motion of gas particles from the point of view of another object. The gas particle that is part of the wind does not even percieve the wind it is a part of. Therefore wind is not free, nor does it even exist but for the “point of view” or reaction of something outside of itself. Truly, fully a slave to another.
