it’s true. i think you could express it in a cleverer way, however. currently, it’s a but one-sided. i mean, for me it’s more like we’re PEGGED to each other in the SAME race. at the moment, there’s a rupture between time and us, when in fact there’s a reciprcal unity going on. plus, time is just ‘the world in movement’ anyway, unless you’re talking ‘abstract time’, which doesn’t race us, but is just time individually considered..

Good start.  How about – We will not race against time. Time itself, does not speed up or slow down, it keeps the same pace, therefore, it can not race us.

when reading this there are so many different thoughts and ideas that dance through my mind and i can only hope that by sharing one with you, i find that they are at least similar to yours.
my first thought what that it is a call to be still and quiet in a rushed world. so many things to do and to see, people to meet and love and fight, so many fights to be fought and won and lost, so many thoughts to be stuggled with, to obsess over and cry and smile and laugh and hate. sometimes the world pushes us forward when we wish to be still and it feels like time in an enemy that instead of defeating, we can only hope to survive.
so few sparked such an intense reaction within me. well done :)

It is quite hard to avoid the race with time because you tend to find yourself wanting more of it but it has already over lapped you in that case. I like the quote though because in someways it is impossible to race time because it is just there but at the same time we race time everyday. It is a very confusing ideal don’t you think? Good quote and thank you for sharing it.

Some people might not understand it, but not all quotes are meant to be understood by all, since it took me a few seconds to get something out of it. But I think it’s an okay quote. A counter to “time is against us.” and other similar quotes.
