Beautiful Rose

a beautiful rose
is piercing my heart.
a gift selfishly given
it’s destruction is an art.

blossoms pale and effervescent,
part of creations master plan
but the simplicity of nature
is the duplicity of man.

your truths transform to lies,
primal hearts become inert.
a prize is freely given
but with intentions sure to hurt.

so stop your fraudulent actions!
stop the proding of my heart.
soon my spirits will begin to heal
it is time for a new start

Very inspiring work for me to read.  I enjoyed the flow and the rhyme, it was very soul soothing.  I think how you were able to see a pic of a rose piercing a heart and then attach such meaning to it shows great talent.  You were able to capture a meaning that some would not and I always appreciate that in a writer.  Peace and Blessings.
