Haiku/Senryu / Evil Empire

I am glad you enjoyed the haiku. Thank you for your review.

Seriously… I understand you might not want to capitalize “Bill” as it is also intended to mean “bill”.  I think the problem is that by using capitals elsewhere in the poem (where they are not really necessary), you set a precedent.  This causes the reader to read “bill” as in ‘fee’.  Without capitalizing “Microsoft” and “Gates”, the pun here might be a little clearer.  ...just a thought.

i’ve been thinking about this… perhaps you could make the title as witty as the haiku itself… In fact, the first line is a much better title than “Evil Empire”.  Not that it’s bad, but not as good as the haiku.  Can you make a title with a fun double meaning?

I missed the pun in the second line … ouch bill=Bill!  Then my review is full of stupidity.  I am sorry… I guess it is too early in the morning for me.  But I still don’t get the third line.

I appreciate your review and maybe down the line I will turn this into a longer piece, but I don’t have much more to say on the subject.

I was not trying to impress you. If you don’t understand a haiku that’s all you need to say and a short reason way. Thank you.

why would i care about whether you tried to impress me, and what does that have to do with the validation of hyphen usage?

...yes, well done, and I repeat “why would I care about whether you tried to impress me?”.

For example, I might say to someone “I’m cold”, and they might respond “Why would I care if you’re cold?”. Then I might say, “I don’t care whether you care that I’m cold”. But presumably you would respond “But you said you were cold”.

Presumably you wouldn’t care if I said you can’t take the most watered down criticism either, so I don’t expect any more return comments that might, once more, contradict your alleged lack of care.

Another point of note: writers sometimes like to know whether the reader is impressed by what they write.

To be honesty, I can’t remember why I had responded in the way I did. I should not of of said, “I was not trying to impress you”   How I should of responded – The use of bill instead of Bill works because it is easier to visualize the “bill” as both a person and a position. If you use “Bill” first all you see is a person.
The use of “hi-coup” Was to emphasise the feeling of getting hi then the score of the coup. I thank you for writing back to set me straight. I hope this was a better response. Please let me know where I have made mistakes. That is he way I learn. It is appreciated.
