I wanted to keep mind singular as so to speak of the human mind as a collective. In that light I think it creates a parallel with the idea of democracy… I did think that through though in the creation of this piece. Good eye.

This Haiku is neatly placed together, and covers the topic in an intriguing manner, without being too straightforward and boring in it’s approach. Quite philosophical I’d say.

minds instead of mind. It took decades of many minds to build Rome and it was fabulous and was the beginning for all Democracy , I believe. A great idea brought to light.
Hmm..I do actually like it. I am also a fan of Roman History, and this depicts it well.
Which is what i think you are trying to achieve.
A simple, yet effective Haiku.
Good job.
This is wonderful! And it is very true. I believe if it weren’t for the Romans, we would not have democracy today. The U.S. goverment is so much like their own! Perhaps you could set it up differently. Otherwise, I enjoyed it!
I do in fact like this haiku. Almost like a definition in a poetic form.
I like this one and it is reflective of modern times as well and has a good image of how democracy was born. It is efficient in the subject and topic with key clues to Rome.
How was the republic innate? Was it innate in the mind of men?
