The Gold Rush Of Love
Whether love is a drop in a stream,
Maybe just a pool or a lake
In the gold rush of love,
Your love means everything
You can find it in any place
Love glittered in every stream
When a fool’s love is fake
Even if you were rich,
It still doesn’t mean a thing
Just like in the gold rush days
Where that yellow rock, for some, meant everything
They were searching for riches in gold
Digging in mountains high and low
Pan handlers were in the creeks and streams
Some found their mother lode
And they still didn’t find anything
People were headed out west
When people heard of that rush
Some people had died
Just searching for a little gold dust
When they heard the Rush…
Is when people went North of Nome
Many people there froze to death
Lost in the quiet cold
When a man has himself to address
A man find himself alone
He can hear his heart beating in his chest
Everything is different than it was
He’s willing to work himself to death
When he starts hearing that buzz
He start looking right to left
That’s is when his gold turn to rust
This is the Gold Rush of love
There is a lady
No man has ever known
Men come and say come save me
I can’t make it on my own
You’re such a pretty lady
I’ll build you a big home
Just for you and all of our babies
If I can have you for my own
To her, all of their gold turns to dust
In their smiles, she could see only lust
They were rich ravens dressed as doves
Their hearts and minds were just a bust
She was searching in the gold rush of love
He was just a man
Who had headed out west
Trying to get share of gold to rise
He was doing his best
Still he was barely getting by
He was caught in the rush
He knew some people had died
Just searching for a little bit of gold dust
When they heard the Rush…
Some people went north to Nome
He heard, many people have froze to death
As the man digs he find himself alone
He can hear his heart beating in his chest
Everything is different than it was
That is when the gold he was searching turn to rust
This is the Gold Rush of love
He loved this woman
But he knew he didn’t have a chance
He didn’t have enough gold
To place a ring on her hand
He didn’t have a mine of gold
He didn’t even know how to dance
But he loved her so
She was more precious, than gold ever was
They became friends, they didn’t talk about gold
They talked about things
They could feel in each other’s touch
They both could feel the rush
They got married and they live in small home
Where there isn’t much
Because they’re each other’s gold
The gold rush of love
