Poetry / The Middle Ground
There is a place
Between Heaven and Hell
It’s called Purgatory
A middle ground, if you will
Soon after death
Your judgement begins
Gather up your feathers
And all of your sins
You will soon be up next
To whitness your fate
Your sins will be weighed
On my pale, grey plate
Will they rise
Or will they fall
We ar bound to be patient
By this holy spirit law
Wait in anticipation
For an eternity will be spent
Be regarded as a saint
Or another of Satans pets
But do be aware
That you do have a choice
Star here with me in nothingness
As a nomad ghost
It’s a very nice forever
But it’s not the best, you know
But take it from me
It’s much better than down below
It’s up to you
Whether you trust your soul
But what whatever you choose
You will experience in a whole
So where does your heart
Say that you belong
You may be right
But more than likely you’re wrong
Hear what I have to say
Or stay in this abyss…
Ah, smart choice and by the way
The name’s Mr. Apocalypse.
