Very simple and very original. I like it. Very nice.

I notice no quotation marks”?” Life is a box sometimes if you are a piece of cardboard! Without reading your notes, the quote standing by itself, caused my imagination to wander of many possibilities.

I think this is a good quote – nothing spectacular, but it is very thought provoking. I  thought what is this box, then i realised its a similar way of saying “think outside the square” making it 3D in a way.

What your author notes describe is “Live OUTSIDE the box”.  ”Box” and its use related to “life” is cliche.  ”Think outside the box”.  ”Live outside the box”.  ”People like to put you in a box”. Etc.  Be original and use something other than “box” or “fence” to express what you mean.  Also, your quote doesn’t seem to imply what you wrote in your notes to the reviewer.  To my knowledge, no one has described life AS a box.  So, you could also say that “Life isn’t an ice cube tray – or a refrigerator – or dog—or whatever”.  How do people make life a box?

I think it is an original concept. “Lfe is not a box.” It is vague enough that the reader can do with it what he or she feels necessary.
