Poetry / Remember to Remember
I want to love you
I want to hold you like I once did
A poet is a human
A poet is a man
A poet is a soul searching for truth
Searching for change
Pining for enlightenment
I am a poet
You must be my poetess
I want to hold you like a piece of paper holds a poem
I want to protect you like the covers of a book
Front and back
Side to spine
I want you to know that you are mine
Without ownership
But don’t you know already?
The worth of a woman and a man when they are one?
I want you to know and remember
Long after I am gone
I want you to remember
Especially those nights that I cannot hold you
That I cannot tell you I love you
That I cannot tell you how beautiful you are
Darling, you must remember
You must be strong, for we must grow
Inside our love is the promise of hope for mankind
Inside our truth, dedication, and sincerety
So I dedicate our love to humanity
But only if you remember to remember
I love you.

I think the piece is sweet and endearing. I see a multitude of overwhelming emotions and I can feel these emotions. I am just not sure if I actually like it or not. I do like it but I think the flow took away from the whole of the piece. I am not really a fan of questions in a poem because they made me stop and think. Then again is that a sign of a good piece when we stop and think. I am not trying to take anything away from what you have done. All in all a nice group of images. Not a judge of works just an inspired reader thankyou for inspiring words from this your reader…
