I stare into the sunset

I think about today
And the world we live in.
I think about people
We meet everyday,
About people we treat
In different ways.

Different avenues,
The air I breath’s the
Same air you do too!

In a world of vanity,
I see no love for humanity
If the sun had never shun
What would we have to judge upon?
How long will it take to see
That any torn flesh will bleed?
Peace cannot be reached
With all this prejudice
When did we fail to proceed
And begin to recess?

We wear the same colors
Wrapped in different robes
See we are each other
Just put on different clothes.
The skin that lies beneath
The most fancy dress,
Is the same skin that that
Lies beneath the most poorest.
Their hearts beat too the same
As all of ours,
Can you take a breath
And say that it’s yours?
