Poetry / Daddy’s Big Girl

After they embrace
their souls die from certainty
She finally realizes
he left her.
She lets go saddened.
She says the words
“ I am sorry, I am not your little girl anymore.”
She leaves him
there…lonely.
farther from his dream.
farther from his girl.
his big girl.
