ThomasAlan? This is probably the silliest thing I have ever written.
Bibelot
And if I ever met with one?
I don’t think I would like it much.
Apparently, it’s not much fun-
Small creepy guys with probes and such
Are not the way to go about
Announcing that we’re not alone,
Inciting lies and too much doubt
And causing fear of the unknown.
And if one ever met with me?
I’d wait until aboard the ship,
Then wreak havoc with such a glee
I wouldn’t be quite worth the trip.

This poem is very inspirering. you allow yourself to stay on the same theme which is hard to find poets these dayz who do the same. I hope you dont mind if i add to my favorites. Keep it up.
What with the opening of “V” this week on TV and the proliferation of interest in aliens in general, this is a real treat.
You have a sure sense of rhythm in your eight syllable lines, and the ABAB rhyme scheme fits nicely. I also like how you carry over the sentence between stanzas 1 and 2.
My only quibble (and it’s a small one) is with the title: although I understand it and it fits well (once the poem is finished), it somehow seems a bit vague or too applicable to too many other situations.
Thanks so much for a fun read! More please!
