I wonder why you placed this under journalism when it seems more like poetry. I like the social comment you have made in terms of your experiences and from your perspective, but maybe you shouldn’t have sounded to definite as though your opinion was a fixed one for all. However the situation you have described is more or less similar in most instances so I don’t see the need for major revisions, only subtle ones.
