Journalism / Your America - A rebuttal to 'Changing America'
You are frightened to lose what you have had. You are frightened because you are ill equipped to compete in a society where your skin does not hold the sway it has historically. You may actually need skills and intelligence. You are correct to be afraid. But you are still wrong in the world you want.
It will cost too much to make sure everyone has the medical care they need.
The truth of the matter is, it will only cost a fraction of what the war cost. A war that was waged, as even the most blindly patriotic of you cannot deny at this point, to benefit a priveledged few. And none of your sons or daughters will be sent to die for it. So maybe someone can tell me the real reason you oppose healthcare reform.
The truth is there are no reasons. Not from the herd. The reasons are from the politicians, from the insurance companies, from corporations, from the wealthy who would bear the brunt of the cost. They tell you it is socialism and therefore bad. You do not know why socialism is bad, but they told you so and you believe it. You do not understand what socialism is. The fact that it would benefit you tremendously does not matter to you, because it would also benefit those you hate, people who serve the purpose of allowing you to feel better than someone else, without having to accomplish anything at all. I don't think you process that consciously, but it seems to be at work, because I can come up with no other explanation as to why you would be against something that would benefit you. I cannot understand why you believe people who you should know, even with the minimum intelligence you possess, do not have your interests at heart, only their own.
I will take any opinions on this that come and will not submit for refunds.
Changing America - by ShelbyRayne (who I am not surprised to see is from Tennesee, sometimes referred to as 'the dumb bone of America' for good reason)
America's core is under siege,
the left is wrong
the right
shall be.
Unique we are,
that's the way it should stay,
sad for America,
sad today.
Each bill is laced with
impractical spending,
our bureaucrats are forcing
tax payer's lending.
This health care bill
is not what we're craving,
this administration is dismissive
and so misbehaving.
The president says,
"the majority won't rule,
I'm going to pass that bill
using the left labor pool"!
Socialism should
never be an option,
policies from Congress
should be denied adoption.
If you disagree
and express your concerns,
your name will be added
to their email returns.
People are angry and
just want to be heard,
the President is trying
to stifle each word.
Citizens are labeled
as mobs, racists and Nazi's,
while the President is followed
by the irresponsible paparazzi.
This is America
unique as we are,
why Mr. President
do you want to
strip each star?

You should use “had” in the first paragraph to symbolize what used to be, but no longer is (”...where you skin does not hold the sway it has historically.”).
In my opinion, these people are using Obama as a scapegoat. Health care has been diminishing for years, but not one of those people whom we’ve seen ranting and raving on TV at these meetings were complaining. Not one past president that we have had within these nearly 3 decades had even scratched the surface on this issue…not Reagan, not Daddy Bush, not Clinton, and certainly not Bush Jr. At least Obama is trying to come up with possible solutions.
