What does this even mean? Death Itself has Nine Lives? Or do you mean that, despite all the violent ends, the greatest cause of death is the act of living? Even just changing the word “with” to something else would probably clarify things SO much better.

Hmmm interesting, but left it kind of open.
Maybe: Death is striking, nine lives down.
Or humerous: The cat died, nine lives down?
Alternative: The cat died, nine down then?
See when you say Death is striking with nine lives, in terms of english, it makes it sound too familiar to if Death was physically striking someone with nine lives as an object.
I’d switch the words around a little bit and have a little play.
