Poetry / this is the day (Analysis)
her hand brushes mine and
the centuries fall away,
taking with them
the memories, distant and faded,
of other lives, with all their mistakes
bundled up in messy, string-tied
packages—the baggage of failed
attempts at perfection. perhaps
this is the day she’ll realize
that true perfection lies in
the acceptance of imperfection.
with promises, kisses, slight
and tender touches, they tell the
the stories—the chronicles of things
nobody can disprove from outside
this silken passion,
cloaked in camaraderie, sheathed
in sisterhood. perhaps this is the day
they’ll understand that friendship
binds tighter than lust’s fickle fires.

it is a little unclear. first, i am thinking of a couple that before finding eachother, has had many difficulty in relationships. Then at the end you are talking about friendship. Try to stay on one topic.

I liked this…my favorite line was: binds tighter than lust’s fickle fires.
Great Job…
