Thanks. Snakes’ eyes glaze over and they become inactive before shedding. I guess that part of the metaphor is less obvious, though the fact that snakes shed over and over should be widely known. I didn’t mean to inject good or bad into it.

Ok. I am not sure I quite get this. I never do get them right away. I only get that you are describing us before we change for the good. Thats about it though. I also want to kind of say that it maybe personal, like perhaps its you. Either way it is making me think. Quality quote though.
Interesting metaphor that evokes quite an image. I’m not sure I’d use the term “armored” though. Armadillos? Armored. Turtles? Armored. Snakes? Not so much. I’d change it to “scaled” or “scaly” as that fits in more with the common perception of snakes.
