Poetry / Maelstrom of Mindless Musings
Storming, the torrent of voices hammers me to the grinded pavement.
Can I stay strong when the noise boils my thoughts into
pools of half remembered memory, slipping faster than Pam
lathered dish trays down the towering snow banks.
Am I the only one, wrenched between perfect solitude and familial bonds?
Everything in life is as close as the frayed cotton that clings to my thighs.
Nirvana stretches across my vision with its luxurious lagoons and rolling hills; I am pulled down.
Life is the quicksand that is wrenching my emotions through the whirlpool of ungotten happiness.
Sometimes, if I listen hard, blissful melodies slip over the noise,
ribbon-tying the din in all the beautiful colors of soulful sound.
Emotion trickles in through the canals to the web of my mind.
Flecks of joy, mellowness, excitement graze the strands of the net and
are captured in my thoughts.
