Short Story / Jam Down Town
Jim Strong just wanted to sleep. All he ever wanted to do was to make the pain go away, the pain of a world which looked nothing like the one that he would have made had he had any power to do so at all.
Here Jim was in a fucking jam again. He had no money and a sometime job that was for people younger than he.
Drink had helped him pass the time, but over time it had become the focus. That and pure exhaustion was burning him out. He was in this alone and it was starting to burn him out.
"Body to body, job to job," as the band lost in the fog of the past once said. He wanted to dive right in to the raging sea, so he could feel alive and now he was swamped by it.
His creativity never really had anything to do with his own survival and he fell a million times and he fell hard. The notion that someone would someday recognize him for his supposed "genius" now seemed like a cruel joke.
Genius, what an over-used term: "I loved working with the director. He was a genius." Translation: "He made me lots of money and got me lots of publicity.'

This is more of a statement of self than a review and if you feel you wasted credits opening it feel free to get them back. I know I’m a lot younger than you and am not sure if you wrote this about yourself or somebody else, but I just wanted to say I can relate to this article more than you know. So if you are planning on going somewhere with this, you should go ahead and take it there.
