It's so simple, yet so undeniably difficult.
the second I saw you,
you were too good to be true.
in that moment I have lost the ability
to effectively define between dreams and reality,
as you are too perfect to be from either.

I couldn't have even begun to imagine someone like you,
Perfect, Beautiful, Angelic,
and yet,
yet,
still fear you will disappear
having only been a perfect dream.

like a dream, I miss you the second it stops.
My mind swims almost constantly with thoughts,
of you,
taking over my body.

I crave you so severely,
I fail to function properly without you.
I miss your skin,
Your touch,
Your voice.

I trust you so much,
I have no need to concentrate.
Life passes me by as I know
Something it doesn’t,
thinking of you is all I need to get me through the day.

I spend night after night
just imagining you.

what it'd be like,
just to kiss you,
to touch your tender lips,
feel the warmth of your breath, on my skin.
To feel your pulse race,
your body pressed against mine.

To hear your breathing quicken
as I show you exactly how I feel,
Then to fall asleep,
Carefully,
in your arms.

to wake up with you,
safe.
