Mr. Laghi,

Fuck this perfect little world. Do you know what it’s like to deal with afflictions of addiction and rotting cynicism? Do you? Do you know what it’s like to wake up every morning and find that everything you thought you knew has been stripped from your very essence? Within the confines of my own addiction, I struggle to understand just why she left, what exactly it is that I did. Fuck this perfect little world. You want the truth about existence? Then look at yourself in a mirror when you’ve been up for days on end with little food and lots of drink, suffering the affects of withdrawal. Tell me about that ghost you see in the reflection. Tell me if you can remember when you dream. Tell me if you feel anything at all. Do you feel it? Can you feel it? Do you feel that half-assed attempt to forget, to lose yourself into the nothingness of your final epitaph? You want to know about Loss, Addiction, Revenge and Redemption, Disconnection of the Family Unit, and Lust? Then step into my world, take my hand, and together we can watch these bricks fall while we dine on a diet of “Painkillers”.

This book is “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” meets “Less Than Zero”.

I’m the guy that knocks out the posers. I’m the guy that spits in the face of adversity. I’m the guy that looks out for the little guy, the common man. I come from a punk rock back ground, still play in a punk rock band, and still tour constantly. The band is called Onewordsolution, so I have a built in audience for the book. The kids respect what I do and look up to me. I know what it means to be “Do It Yourself”, not just in theory but also in practice.

As a musician and growing up in the punk rock world I’ve done my fair share of experimenting and have seen and lived the affects of these issues amongst very close friends. I’ve lost several very good friends to overdose. As an author, I’ve been compared to Burroughs and Kerouac with the dry cynicism of Vonnegut. I tackle the subjects most people dance around, but I bring the gritty reality with it. I also have a marketing strategy, with some music industry publications that I will submit to for review. I know how the game is played.
