So You Think...

So you think
it makes a difference
that vote you cast
As if the choices were not already
preordained
laid out like comfortable jammies
on your cozy bed
your party is right and the others are so wrong
you hate them
spitting and ranting
your candidate is best
Did you know
they are telling you so
you believe what you want to
you believe what they want you to
there must be order
there must be good guys in white fucking hats
yeah your guy has all the answers
that's what they always say
meanwhile you are killing youself
to live here
in their world
this is what they give you
it will never get better
it will get worse
oh so much fucking worse my babies
before you realize
you have been duped

Hi there,

These same thoughts run constantly through my weary politicized mind, even more so this wonderous time of our electorical, hypocraticaly wasted time of year. And to see these energized bunnies frothing, party choking, spewing the left sided lies, right from their mouths.
You, my friend have done a great job of assembling the truths of our corrupted professionals in all their flag waving red, white and blues. Awesome piece! me…

Hey, it is always great to read something from someone with a clever perspective such as yours, and so wonderfully put, without THEM coming to your front door, kicking it in and locking you ‘way in a tiny ‘lil cell for the rest of your natural born days. Write on brother, write on. If you suddenly do vanish, at least I will know where you are, ha.

Holy cow…that was so awesome, and truthful…I absolutely love the last line of your poem: “You have been duped”...then it drifts away, letting the mind soak it up and ponder.
Becareful not to swear too much, otherwise it becomes uninteresting. But you used the right amount, so I don’t even know why I’m telling you this.
Wow.
I’d like to continue this review further, but I think I’ll sit and think about your poem.
