Since you used punctuation, I would consider Capitalizing your first word. If you don’t like that, you should probably eliminate the punctuation and use a dash.

This one has the SMITH trademark – self deprication, action, universality. Also fits the memoir criteria.

When I first read this I thought ‘cliche`’ then I thought… but I’ve never heard it before so, I guess it has potential to be a cliche`.
