I love this piece reminds me of a broken heart. And it was beautifully written.

I can relate to that and it being a common reason for me to write a number of different things. Great job, I like it.
Very nice. It stirs up more emotions than just that of life. It brings to mind the loneliness of everything.
truelly deep… makes sense… really like it, we all feel like that some dyas.
Passion, heartbreak, loss, yearning so many emotions in so few words brilliant truth, well spoken.
Might work. SMITH is looking for memoirs about the creative process and this one certainly ranks as one of the leaders for creating most things.
Although love was given and not returned the failure is not from society but from the artist (artist, writer, poet, etc…) feeling as though the effort was not appreciated or returned but in actuality creation is the reward. Something new, original, unique to it’s maker and the WORLD! Passion is your payment.
Thank you for the opportunity.
Tragic? Yes.
Earth-shattering and new idea? No.
I think there must be a more powerful way to give this sentiment without sounding like a narration. If I just got my heart stomped on, I wouldn’t turn to my best friend and say, “Well…love once given was never returned.”
Keep at it!
I like the sentiment, I know what your trying to say, but maybe for impact, maybe instead of “was never returned” you try “is never returned”. This would shake me up a lot more than this statement of rememberance of love that was never given the chance to be lost.
Love is a big four-letter word. Eventually, love finds you.
