I think you (and a few others) are assuming that a six word description of a life (creative or otherwise) must be filled with some specific thing. These words indicate that something, but like so many people, those moments of something do not necessarily add up to much of anything.
Also, many reviews are assuming that the second sentence is a statement made in retrospect, like turning back and looking at life after it has unfolded. Perhaps the second sentence is a statement more indicative of the very moment of birth. I was born. Nothing much happened. The world continued to spin, people loved, hated, fucked, killed, died, kept moving without even noticing, I was born. Nothing much happened. An anonymous beginning, a blank slate, assumptions yet to be made, not necessarily an anonymous life.
