Hahaha this works really well for this competition. I’m assuming that you’re an editor/reviewer/columnist or something else involving writing about writing and so this piece is amusing that you have no time to write because you’re too busy writing about writing. But, in the context of this contest, this piece has another layer of meaning; it’s very self-reflexive. You have no time to write because your too busy writing entries for a competition for memoirs about your life as a writer =P

Good work

I like this. I would try an exclamation point after time though.

Good Work.

humorous and slightly satirical in a very short sense. kinda shows how busy one is if they are trying to accomplish a piece of writing. how much time is devoted to it. good work. i like it. Smith? hope so

Sweet. Paradoxical. How can you live and have something to write about if all you do is write? I like this one very much.

So true. This is a good quote that I’m sure many relate too.

I really like this. It’s cheeky, slightly sarcastic and ironic, and brusque in an unoffensive manner. The staccato punctuation also makes it very effective.

I love this. I guess I love it a little bit more because I can relate to it…my first poem ever published in a lit. magazine was all about the act of writing.

It shows the circular nature of the writing life, how we can never get enough, there is always something else to write about…and in our cases it’s writing.

Kudos.
