Poetry / Urgh

tears flow from my eyes,
interrupted only with sighs.
some comfort i hope to gain
from this great and terrible pain.

why am i plagued by this feeling
of all life and happiness concealing
itself in some dark corner
of my heart where it cannot be found?

it stares me four times in the face
as i sit here alone and chase
a time once had and longed for evermore.

a time of sweet love and affection,
never hindered by the insurrection
against such love, caused by the apprehension
in the heart of one such as you now.

you are all i ever wanted.
an example of perfection, never to be surmounted
by anything ever to come into this creation.

in your hands rests my peace
from this torment i released.
my heart will be free again
to love you as God intend
when He made me for you and you for me.
