I like how the rhyming of the words in this story mirrors how frustrating it can be to write cliches.

Amen. Would make a good first sentence to a story (or good first line for a script). Not sure if it holds up by itself, telling a story.
Haha! YES! This sums up what every author prays to whomever god they believe in before they sit down at their keyboard or with their pen! Fantastic! If you had one to address writer’s block to go with this, it would be perfect.
It is kind of funny once they stay away. But I understand what you mean Then dread when it’s something different to pray for. Overused words perhaps: ‘just’and ‘really as examples.
DreadED cliche would be better, but I get your sentiment and I like it x
this is a funny one. And quite true, cliches are a true pitfall to the serious writer.
I think this is the dread of every writer dare I say artist. The blank page can be frightening but especailly so when the hope is that what you create is orginal.
a mere wish. did not really move me. i guess we all make this wish at one time or another though.
