Kind of like the Mars Volta’s first album. A friend of theirs went into a comma for a year, woke up, told them about his dream sequences, and then the next day he commited suicide… intense, but that’s how a lot of their lyrics came about.
Awesome stuff.

This seemed very sweet and whimsical to me. It tells of a little innocence in the writing process; that these things “come to you”, rather than you seeking out inspiration. That it comes in your dreams gives it a fairy tale aspect that contributes nicely to the idea of telling a story with brevity.
Me too. I once dreamed an entire composition—lyrics and melody. Didn’t write it down. Didn’t remember it.
Often true but not earth shattering news. Maybe you can say in a less prosaic way. Think about verbs associated with lyrics. What are you seeing in your head when you dream lyrics?
this is nice, clear and easy to understand. I only wonder if these dream lyrics ever found their melody.
Very creative. I like it.
