Poetry / Winter's Love Story
Your rays caress my shimmering white skin
Inklings of desire spring
“Erase all the cold frigid death that I bring”
Create in me life that I may pass on
Liquefy me. Purity, yes, cleansing purity
Make love to me, Summer
Your heat, your passion, they create spring showers
Somber hallow caves awaken
Movement conjoined with tender warm breaths
A breeze of relief now drowns out my wicked winters bitter woes
You’ve stirred the waters; they run along side the jagged rocks
Corroded sediments that have been long forgotten
In the meadows of my mind grow flowers of your seed
You, you and I have created life.
But like the breeze that passes by on a windy autumn day,
You are gone; you have changed.
You give shadow no more; I am not comforted by your soft supple ground
I am abandoned
Like the longing of a baby for his mother’s bosom; I hunger
Your soothing, charming warmth made me tender;
Gusts of my bitter winds will resurface within time
I will turn cold again, bringing sleep to many and death to some.
