A perfect summary of many a author’s life: turning to writing when the chores of parenthood subside and then gleaning memories of those kids’ development for writing fodder.

Very descriptive, but I fail to find where it pertains to a “creative life”. Sounds more like a mother bird, or a chicken farmer’s life!
If it’s from the parent’s point of view, it’s a bit refreshing. Otherwise, it’s a little tiresome. And the format may need to be tweaked; like “Eggs hatched. Empty nest – what next?” Instead of just a comma, because it seems a bit abrupt after the first clause is sufficiently ended; the last four words seem rushed.
It’s much better than many of the other entries, though.
That’s a good question. What happens when they fly out of the coop? TV dinners, Taco Bell and a good night sleep. That’s what I’ve heard.
I like your quote. It’s humorous and tells a good story in just a few words. Good luck with it.
I read ur pieace and it made me laugh to muself cuz once the eggs hatch they fly away and the next is empty. you just have to pick urself up and go on with ur life. I thought u did a wonderful job with this and I liked it alot. keep up the good work.
very funny and very true. to sum up so concisely, nicely done.
I like the ‘uh oh’ tone to this. I’d suggest changing ‘what next’ to ‘what now?’ I think it will convey better, but overall very good.
