Short Story / Courage Creates

I like this one!   Terse and carrying a message.  It is a apt artist’s statement.  And confirms that the writer is an artist.  Good!

I read ur pieace and I loved it. I am glad that u have courage and ur not a dcoward.

This works for me. A statement that becomes a description of self.  

It worked.

The use of I weakens the idea here.

Maybe try – “Courage creates. Cowardly deeds do not.”

or something along those lines.

Considering this was written as a “6 word Memoir”, I think an “I” statement was appropriate.

I in this short a passage, where each word needs to hold weight and power is a waste. Not only that a memoir can be written about anyone, not just one’s self.

Humorous, with an inkling of strength behind it, it says a lot about the craft, and your attitudes toward it. Nicely put.

I think this is very true! How could we not, as creators realize that sometimes we’re in love with our own words? It took me years to remind myself that as much as I love what I have to say, writing doesn’t have to be an excericise of the ego, but rather a fulfillment of the deep and primal need to communicate. You’ve hit an important nail on the head.

This is pretty strong.  I have often wondered if I have a hard time writing sometimes because I am afraid of my own emotions.  To create, you really do have to put yourself out there.  It also takes courage to put your work out for review because taking criticism is not always easy. Good job.

It does take courage. Fear can imobilize, both fear of failure and fear of success. It takes guts to share with total strangers that part of you that lies hidden in your mind.
