Non-fiction / 6 word memoir - Self absorbed

This made me smile. It reminds me of the line, ‘Self absorbed? How do you think that makes ME feel?’ Or, ‘Pretentious? Moi?’

I hope this was written ironically …

I love this line!  How very human.

I like it.  It is honest and made me laugh.  I’m not sure it tells a story though.  But then what can you do in 6 words?

A bit generic—’It” needs expanded to capture attention.

I read ur pieace….i didn’t know what VAIN ment so I looked it up and I re-read ur pieace again and didn’t understand it, it was unclear to me. Why are you Vain and why  can’t you help being Vain? I think this pieace just makes people ask the word “why”. it doesnt really do much for me.

I think that to be an artist in any sense you have to be vain.  You have to have an inflated opinion of yourself in order to presume that your expression of your thoughts and your feelings deserve to be paid attention to by “the public.” Thus, my memoir of my writing life is “I can’t help but be vain.”
