Non-fiction / Six-word contest, entry 2.

Thank you very much!  This whole six-word thing is really difficult and definitely restrictive. But it’s interesting nonetheless.

I was trying to get across the idea that as any type of creative person, there is an inner ideal and an outer medium, and it’s frustrating and impossible and what we create can never match up to what we have in us.

Instead, I named inspiration god and the act of creation beautifully painful.  Ugh.

Thank you very, very much for you kind words. The reviewer above said “I read ur peace and it wasnt clear to me what u were trying to say, the words u put together didnt make much sense to me the way you wrote it,” and it made me wonder if anyone knows English anymore.

This is probably because you don’t understand sentence structure very well.  I’ll explain it to you.

The sentence is “The mad god consumes.”  It is very simple.  ”Resplendent agony” is simply an additional descriptive clause that relates to it; basically, it’s like saying the act of the mad god consuming IS resplendent agony.  Except with a comma.

Read more advanced books and you’ll pick up on things like this.  And maybe learn a bit of spelling.

:D ‘Resplendent Agony’:  an unbearable pain that you can’t live without.  IE., orgasms or possibly heroin. Or artistic expression.
