The language is beautiful, but it doesn’t really tell a story. There isn’t a sense of past present and future. But then there isn’t a whole lot we can do in 6 words.

“Painted words”, I like that. And it has truth in it for us as poets doesn’t it? Nice job.
Good! The author has said volumes in just six words. “Painting words” is what all writers do. So this writer captures the creative life in a few well choses words. Congratulations!
Having read your submission I took note that you are an artist, but instead of brushes you chose to use words. Descriptive and to the point. There are several more ways this could have been written with just six words,you might want to submit another after you have thought about it.
This being a short submission I can think of no useful ideas that I could give you, grammer was not a problem.
Yes that is the overall feeling a number of us writers get. Sometimes we have to substitute what we feel to be our feelings for satisfaction in doing other things. It is an art of sorts and your words conveyed that.
I can relate to this, as I do this.
