Thank you for your pricey but thorough review. Please also consider the fact that once hidden, you can look at mankind and see it with all its quirks and idiosyncrasies, I write of while seeing it it through very sarcastic glasses. In order to achieve this, you must see the “glass half full” all the time.

quite funny…mildly self-deprecating without losing some sort of positivity and humor about it all. The note to the reviewers is even better.

I’m a huge fan of synthesis. If you find the right words, you can really say more by saying less.
There’s all your life written there. “I hid” tells us a lot about you and your sensitivity, and gets us to think a lot about your message.
You posted this as non-fiction, but I see it much better as poetry.
I think it would gain a lot if you made a three verses poem, but giving them a different alignment like this:
I came
I saw
I hid
with no punctuation.
With this lay-out, you immediately give the idea of the flowing of your life and at every step, you take your time to think and realize what have learned, till the end, when you draw your conclusions.
Really excellent!
Because of the title, I find this evocative. As a “memoir” it makes me imagine a dark scenario witnessed as a child.
This definitely tells a story. A somewhat depressing one, but a story no less. I like it, it seems to speak true to who you are as a writer and a person.
This is nice. I can relate this to when I read my writing or that of others… You come, you see… then you hide what you really feel about the piece. I like this.
Its very funny and heart-warming, and works very well as a memoir. However, it really reminds me of Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters (a movie in case you haven’t seen it), “We came, we saw, we kicked some ass!” So you do lose some points for originality for that reason. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it, you nailed the six word memoir right on the head!
That’s great positively great. I mean not that you hid. but that you admitt it. I love it. Sandi
i came i saw makes sense almost 60 years in the making sounds wonderful
the stories i can envision but i hid??? did you mean you hid from life
thats how you became creative? im a bit confused
