I want to critique a work of yours titled “Janis.” And, I will. But, after reading your 6er I think it will be like touching a hot stove, gettiang burned, and thinking well the next time won’t be as bad, and actually might feel good. Thanks for the message. Feel free to critique my work.

Good one. I believe however you should remove the period and use a semi-colon or similar punctuation maintaining one 6 word sentance as opposed to a 4 and a 2 (because of the period).

Took me a second to get it. Haha. I like it. It has humor with just a small dash of arrogance. Kudos.
The best so far, because of the double entendre of Whitman. The last three words threw me for a loop. At first I thought of Walt. Then, I thought Charles may be a relation (still could be). I thought of a loving grandfather passed on; well, “Isn’t that sentimental,” until I found out who Charles was, killing 16 people, wounding a dozen, creeped me out. Great to cause a powerful reaction with a reader.
Then I thought, is “akin” appropriate? It is parallelism. After looking up other synonyms, I think you are pitch perfect. Finally I accepted subject of this flash. If you are a mass murderer, well, leaves me speechless and double checking the locks. Bravo!
Is that right? What does that mean? You might need more than six words to adequately explain this one.
Hilarious! If humor is the intent you have accomplished satirical genius. I to would hope to achieve a Whitmenesque like legacy. If Urbis is my vehicle to such a legacy I hope the literary gods forgive me. Keep trying, I can’t wait until the next installment. You are one funny individual.
I’m not sure if you’re gloating from the fact that you’re related to Whitman or just saying that this is how people know you and you can’t live it down. Either way, its kind of weird. However, its powerful, thought-provoking and works as a memoir, so kudos!
Can’t not think of “Bond.James Bond” here. But he is a good guy. Whitman, ehm, not so good. It seems to have a strong sarcasm beneath the surface but also leaves the reader wondering (a bit vague).
