Poetry / And one day
And one day/ Michael Goldberger
One day I’ll stand at your doorstep
You will know that this time it’s for good
It would be clear that the world had defeated me
And finally I am on my knees.
And you’ll be as simple as always
You’ll offer some bread and some wine
You’ll offer a shoulder to cry on
But no remedy for my heart
I will cry there with endless sorrow
I would stand there with mighty rage
And you’ll hug me again very close now
All my fears will melt into pain

this made me think of the day that you repent… or a meeting with Jesus… I’m not sure if I’m right about that but this took me to many different thoughts… all around it was a good read.
