Like this it’s very cryptic, but I would really like something to be explained. It is a very nice quote which could easily turn into a story.

Sure, more detail and background information would be nice. So many things in life could have occured to prompt this question. It does tend speak of a former lover or possibly of a recent break-up. One could choose to read into it for a long time. I have drawn my own conclusions…
I disagree with some of these reviews. The best literature allows for the reader’s own emotions and experience to help mold the meaning and importance of the piece.
This quote would lose its universal meaning if the events leading up to this thought were to be explained. You obviously can relate to it, and there has been a handful of instances in my life where I have stated that exact phrase. Your quote is terse but good; those are six words that will remind your reader of their lost loves.

Yeah, I need to know the meaning behind the quote.
Otherwise, it’s senseless.
Well this could be a lot of things to a lot of people. I can think of at least two of my own life stories to relate this to. Because of that, I do believe it’d be better as a memior if you write your story about it so we don’t leave it all up to our own stories.
The Raven
It couldn’t be me, it has to be your memoir, you are the one writing it so how could it not be you? :)
