Poetry / In the Still of the Night (Analysis)
O Fabio…O Fabio…
My heart is heavy with pain
I still feel the tears,
and harsh words in my ears,
to pray was merely in vain.
I’ve never known a love like this, nor
a tenderness so true…
The day you finally chose to leave
was the day I had to leave, too…
I found myself in a lonely pub,
with naught but a bottle and the storm;
when out of the shadows came my absolution,
a beautiful stranger to keep me warm.
He was strong, dark and dangerous,
almost frightening…a sinful lie.
Yet the passion we shared
made me feel it would last,
just me and my flame in the sky…
The moon must have sang me to sleep that night,
I awoke to the sun, my foe;
beside me was empty,
with a note softly laid:
“I hope he was worth it…”

Hm. the only thing that doesn’t quite follow for me is that he left in all his blonde glory, narrator screwed someone else, but F came back to leave a note.
Funnyish, though.

No fun or silly, but of deep love that was only realized after one leaves.Sorrow is an emotion that can not be covered,but time will heal. This was very good and deep.
Thank you for sharing it,
Doris
I loved it.
Fabio? How strange. Do women find him attractive?
