LOST: innocence
Are my truly carefree days truly behind me?
Have the worries of these last four seasons killed my child?
I’d like to think not.
I think I just got separated from him
Somewhere in my mind he’s at the lost and found
And my subconscious is paging Mr. Rowan
“Please come to the center of your mind.”
“We believe we have a little boy of yours!”
Then again maybe not
Maybe this sick darkness has taken him hostage
It’s possible that this affliction of mine has ensnared him
Stifling his mouth and binding him in the coldest emptiest place within me
The worst part may be that it wants nothing in return
There is no bartering with these demons
And the irony comes into play here when in return I would give anything
For his safe and timely return
Alas, I will have to slay them, once again, as I’m used to doing.
This conflict takes a toll
I am wearied to the bone
I won’t cease to spew my all
I will bring that little boy home
