Poetry / The Grass is Greener
THE GRASS IS GREENER
The grass is greener on the other side
The things we wish we had, and said, and did
Where world and dream, so effortless, collide
You dream to have what some possess with pride
so from your dreary life you will be rid
The grass is greener on the other side
The simultaneous sparks that shine inside
the darkness of your dreaming to forbid
Where world and dream, so effortless, collide
Where all your dreams are washed out on the tide
to own it all you battle with your id
The grass is greener on the other side
The endless struggle ever does reside
within the darkened greed which has outbid
Where world and dream, so effortless, collide
When the ground above me covers where I hide
then of such thoughts as this I will be rid
The grass is greener on the other side
Where world and dream, so effortless, collide
